Position Overview:
Analysts are integral members of our investment team. As such, becoming an analyst at Diamond Hill represents a tremendous opportunity for an investment professional to further develop his/her investment skills and knowledge while also critically contributing to the success of our team. Analysts are responsible for evaluating investment ideas through fundamental/value-based research within their designated sector/focus area according to our philosophy of investing, which is rooted in the teachings of Benjamin Graham and the methods of Warren Buffett. Most simply, we invest in good companies when prices are at a discount to our appraisal of the intrinsic value of the business. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining financial models, conducting due diligence on company and industry trends, synthesizing and assessing financial and industry data, and utilizing these tools and information to collaborate with our Portfolio Managers on investment decisions.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic background
• 2-5 years of experience in a research/financial advisory capacity or sector-specific experience
• Understanding and appreciation of our investment philosophy
• Strong analytical and valuation/modeling skills
• Ideally have or be making progress towards the CFA designation (Level 3 candidates only)
