Diamond Hill Earns 2022 Aetna Workplace Well-Being Award


Columbus, Ohio, August 23, 2022 – Diamond Hill is proud to announce that they have received an Above and Beyond Silver level Aetna Workplace Well-being Award recognizing their strong commitment to providing workplace well-being resources, programs and support for employees.

The firm’s comprehensive well-being program is supported at all levels of the organization and the continued engagement of associates demonstrates their desire to live healthier, more active lives and make well-being a priority.

Well-being initiatives are coordinated by the firm’s Wellness Team of nine individuals representing different areas of the firm. This group is responsible for creating fun and informative activities that are integrated with the firm’s DEI efforts. Past initiatives have included step, dry January and burpee challenges, educational programs on stress management, nutrition and recycling, and subsidized gym memberships. In addition, the firm encourages preventative health activities such as physical exams, biometric screenings, flu vaccines and health assessments through premium discounts and other incentives.

The objectives of Diamond Hill’s workplace well-being program are to promote increased awareness of healthy behaviors, provide opportunities for associate interactions and comradery, enhance engagement and morale, and ultimately lower health insurance costs by preventing chronic health conditions.

The firm’s award application and well-being program was honored based upon superior performance in the following areas.

  • Specialized challenges and interest groups connecting associates with similar goals to motivate and support one another.
  • The wide variety of wellness related education including mental health, nutrition and exercise available to associates.
  • Strong engagement and participation from all levels of the firm, including leadership.

About the Award

Employers complete the award application using data from their most recent 12-month program year. This includes information on their well-being strategy and design, communications and organizational engagement, and program implementation and evaluation. Available to Aetna middle market and public and labor employer segments in the United States with a minimum of 100 employees. This includes fully-insured and self-funded employers with an Aetna medical plan. A peer review committee made up of well-being professionals with an average of 25 years of experience reviewed and scored all applications based on pre-defined criteria. Awards established in 2017.
