Step 1 — initial screen
During a call with an HR associate or the hiring manager, we will get to know you and your work history, discuss the role, and tell you more about the team, company and culture at Diamond Hill. You will be invited (and encouraged) to ask any questions.
Step 2 — virtual/in-person first round
Diamond Hill associates will meet you either one-on-one or in pairs to discuss your professional background, expectations of the role and key qualities needed to be successful in the position. Each interview will explore a unique aspect of the role, which should provide you a sense of what is important to the team. This round may be virtual, in-person or some combination depending on candidate and interviewer location, availability and preference.
Step 3 — job suitability assessment
Between the first and second interview rounds, you will be asked to take a 30-minute online job suitability assessment. The assessment is designed to evaluate behavioral traits and work preferences related to a specific role. We do not use the assessment results as a decision-making tool but as a supplement to our process to help us plan an informative and thorough second-round interview.
Step 4 — in-person second round
You will meet with more team members, as well as other associates who collaborate with the role. Individually or in pairs, these associates will focus on behavioral style questions that are meant to draw upon your own experiences to illustrate how you overcome challenges, create solutions, and grow personally and professionally.
