Diamond Hill Expands Fixed Income Team
COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 23, 2024 -- Diamond Hill, a boutique investment management firm with a long-term, valuation-disciplined approach across multiple capabilities, today announced the expansion of its fixed income team with the appointment of Arthur Cheng, CFA, as Co-Portfolio Manager. With the addition of Arthur to the team, Diamond Hill plans to launch a core-plus strategy in the coming quarters.
Cheng joins Diamond Hill from Post Advisory Group, where he spent seven years as a senior research analyst focusing on high yield bond and leveraged loan investments covering the technology, telecom, industrials, manufacturing, services and automotive industries. Prior to that, he was a senior high yield research analyst at J.P. Morgan Asset Management responsible for investments in the chemicals, industrials, manufacturing, utilities, lodging, gaming and restaurant industries.
"Arthur’s extensive experience in non-investment grade credit investing complements our expertise in securitized credit and core fixed income,” said fixed income portfolio manager Henry Song, CFA. “Welcoming Arthur to our team will enable us to expand our ability to deliver great outcomes for a broader array of clients.”
Cheng earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics from UCLA and is a CFA charterholder.
"I am thrilled to be joining Diamond Hill’s tenured and successful fixed income team,” said Cheng. “The team’s differentiated approach, valuation discipline and unique client focus is a natural fit with my own experience and investment philosophy.”
“We have tremendous confidence in our fixed income team,” said Heather Brilliant, CFA, CEO of Diamond Hill. “Arthur joins a talented, disciplined team that has delivered solid performance and shown an ability to develop differentiated strategies that meet client needs.”
Diamond Hill’s fixed income team has $4.9 billion in assets under management as of 30 June 2024.
